How he kept safe

In think that Bobby speech was powerful especially when he added some of his own moments a moment that I really liked was  when he talked about when he talked about the peanut butter and fluff sandwiches and that was how he got called fluff and when he was talking about it in his speech he told them it was all because it was his mothers favourite sandwich. The quote is on 250 '' It was because my dad made one for me for lunch one day and told me, ''These were your mom's favourite sandwich.'' My mom had died the summer before and I missed her.'' This shows that Bobby only kept only ate the sandwiches because he missed his mom a lot and wanted to be with her. And that is also why I like the speech Bobby made and that that speech showed why the misfits did some of the things that made them get name called. Your thoughts.

Did you find him yet?

[If you have not read to the  end of the book then don't read this]Her is a prediction with out a quote. A prediction I have after reading the end of the book is... Will Mr. Kellermen find his true self soon? I had this question because after I finished this book at the end it didn't really talk about his future only Bobby's Addie's Joe's and Skeezie's but not Mr. Kellermen's.  But a prediction I made was that maybe in the sequel to the misfits called ''Totally Joe'' Maybe then Mr. Kellermen will find himself. Do you think so to?

2 rights

I can't believe that Bobby and Mr. Kellermen have 2 things in common I know that isn't a lot but when you think about Bobby then Mr. Kellermen that is really big in my books to think about that. Any way the 2 things are that first both there mothers died and second both of them have the same name Robert. A quote to prove this on page 206. '' We both lost our mothers,'' he sighs. ''And do you know. We have something else in common. Our names.'' '' Our names?'' I say. '' I'm also Robert.'' This quote shows that they both have 2 things in common who would have thought. Do you find this as amazing as I do?

Bobby scared no more

I think that Bobby's quietness after his mom died has gone and left. 2 reasons for that to prove that his depression is gone is... 
1 On page 185 it says ''Bobby,'' She says, '' You are full of surprises this morning. Your usually so quiet.'' That is one reason to show that  Bobby has no more depression now after his mom past away one more reason is...
 2 On page 190 it says '' But she isn't mad. Not at all. What she says when we get in the clear is '' That was so cool, Bobby. Way to go.'' And those are 2 reasons why I think that Bobby's depression is gone after his mom died and a thought just to say is that all those quotes I have is from when Addie and Bobby are talking with there home room teacher Ms.Wyman about the elections going on. Tell me if you think that Bobby's depression is over or not.

Joe is GAY

 I can't believe my eyes Joe actually told that he is gay I mean I did have a feeling that he was gay but  I didn't know he would tell Bobby and Skeezie and right now I am very proud of Joe to tell them a big secret and not be afraid of telling. A quote to prove that Joe is gay is on page 115 it says '' I've told you before, Skeezie. I'm gay.'' And that proves that Joe is gay and he's not afraid to tell his own best friends. Your thoughts on this?

Popular quote

Close to the end of our page reading I found a really strong quote about popularity and meanes the quote is on page 91 it says ''So does being cool mean you get to go around calling other people names?''  I really like this quote because it shows what popular kids can do and what unpopular kids get pushed around by. Any thoughts on this.

Rude DuShawn

One thought that has really struck me while reading this book this morning was why are Addie and Bobby choosing DuShawn to run for president for them I really find him rude and obnocshes. Even though I guess they need a popular kid so everyone will vote for them but really couldn't they choose some one else like Colin like Bobby said on page 77 it says '' While Colin is one of the popular kids, he is different from most of them. He is nice ,for one thing.'' This proves my point chooseing Colin is  better that rude DuShawn. But later in the book they find out Colin is already on Brittnys team. Still DuShawn is mean and rude your thoughts.

Perdiction jean

A prediction I have just made by reading more of the book is that the group of misfits [Addie, Bobby, Joe, and Skeezie] are going to make everyone notess them by all wearing jean jackets. I got this perdiction by the front cover of the book because on the front cover there is a image of a jean jacket, and why I think they want to be notessed is because on page 52 close to the end of the page it says '' So I won't run for president. But I could run for vice president.'' And one thing I know about for running for vice president or anything like that is that you should be able to be known to everyone. And that proves my perdiction that to make the misfites be notessed they will runn for vice president and to be known they will all wear jean jackets. Any thought on this? Please comment.

Fearless Addie

When I first started reading this one character mentioned in the book had a strong charater trate this character trate was fearless and the character for this trate is Addie. A quote to prove that Addie is fearless is on page 16 chapter 2 the quote is, '' Addie has always been like that... She is not afraid of anything. Not even the names people call her.'' This quote really says that Addie is fearless and also she doesn't even care what people think of her or say to her and I think that is what makes her fearless and a misfit. Do you think so to?

SOLAR SYSTEM REPORT

I’m Emily Harris. I have just come back from the planet Mars, a six year round trip!  I am now at the Canadian Space Agency in Ottawa to report on the solar system.  I will explain interesting facts such as the creation of a star/planet, the differences between a planet, satellite and stars, solar and lunar eclipses, the impact of the moon on the earth, the phases of the moon and many other fascinating facts about our solar system.  Let’s get started.

Have you ever wondered how a planet or star was formed? Both stars and planets developed from clouds of dust and gas that began collapsing. Gravity helped form them into round shapes. There are two kinds of planets: rock planets and gas planets. Rock planets are made of rock, metal and dust and include Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars as shown in this picture. 

Gas planets are planets made of gases (like nitrogen and helium), water and dust and include Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus as shown in this picture.

Now let’s look at the differences between stars, planets and satellites. First, a satellite (or moon) orbits a planet and a planet orbits around a star. Second, a star projects light while a planet and a satellite reflect light. Third, a satellite is made of oxygen, silicon, iron, and nickel, planets can be made of rock or gas and a star is mainly made of helium and hydrogen. The Sun, the largest star, is at the centre of our solar system.  It contains about 98% of all the material in the solar system. Planets orbit the Sun, satellites orbit the planets and asteroids and comets orbit the Sun between planets. Here is a picture that shows all bodies in the solar systems.

Asteroids and comets are made of rock and ice.  They are not round because they do not have enough gravity to pull themselves into a ball like our planets.  Next I will talk about lunar and solar eclipses.  

You may think that lunar and solar eclipses are the same but they are not.  A lunar eclipse occurs when a planet (like Earth) blocks a moon’s light source. This happens when the moon is full [around the 14^th day of a month] and is traveling behind the earth which is on a tilt. A solar eclipse occurs when a moon covers a planet’s light source and make’s the planet darken for a moment.  But because the size of the moon is smaller than the Sun only part of the Earth gets dark. Here are two pictures that show lunar and solar eclipses.

Have you ever wondered why the tide comes in and out when you’re at the beach? Tides are caused by the moon’s gravitational force which pulls on water in the oceans causing bulges on both sides of the Earth (as shown in the diagram below).  The moon pulls water towards it, causing the bulge toward the moon.  The bulge on the side of the Earth that is farthest away from the moon is caused by the moon pulling the Earth away from the water on that side. This is known as high tide and is illustrated in this picture. 

Have you ever thought why the moon appears to change its shape?  As the moon orbits the Earth it goes different phases depending on its position in relation to the Sun and Earth.  Over a period of 29.5 days, the moon goes through the following  eight phases: new moon, waxing crescent, 1^st quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter and waning crescent. Here is a picture that shows a diagram of the moons phases.

Another interesting fact about the phases of the moon is that if we followed the phases of the moon we would have 13 months in a year rather than 12 months. One last moon fact deals with how the indentations were formed.  No, it was not caused by Superman being pushed into the moon.  There are three types of indentations: lunar Marias, craters and rills.  Marias are large flat plains on the moon’s surface that were made from volcanic eruptions.  Craters are depressions on the moon’s surface that were caused by the impact of an object such as a meteor.  Rilles are channels that wind across marias that were formed by running lava.   Here is a photo of rilles located near the crater Prinz on the Earth’s moon.

The end

Wow I can't believe it's the end of the book I mean I know their was a lot of adventures in the story like on page 70 when Bernie goes out side and beats her fear of the out side and also on page 99 when Heidi fist comes on to the bus to Liberty and when her big adventure starts to find out what the word soof means those are just some of the starting page in the book for the adventures Heidi and Bernie  have. But some times you just have to let go and take for a whieal I guess and that is just what Heidi's mom did at the end of the book she had a long rest. 

My Cover Page

I choose this as my cover for my blog because even though in the end of the book Heidi's mother dies and she feels like she has lost everything I still think that she has all thoose memorys of her adventure when she went to Liberty and I think that is a great adventure and that is why I think it's a great idea to use this because it shows how she was not afraid to finish her adventure and be brave and I think that this shows the same thing. Do you think so to?

Who pays the bills?

I think that I know who pays Heidi's bills. On page 173 when Heidi  gets to hill top and meets Mr.Hill, then Mr.Hill says'' she's sent you here for money, hasn't she? Well she  won't get another cent out of me.'' After I read this quote it got me thinking what if Mr.Hill is the one paying all the bills like he said they won't get another cent out of me, I got the feeling that Mr.Hill is paying all the bills . What do you think?

Is that her brother?

Hey everyone  just here to say a perdition maybe Elliot Hill is Heidi's own brother. On page 173 Elliot Mr.Hill's son had a temper tantrum and I also think that he has mental problems and that  got me questioning if Elliot was Heidi's brother I was thinking this because Heidi's mother has tantrums and mental problems so maybe Heidi's mother gave birth to Elliot  and Heidi's mother might have gave Elliot  her mental problems and her temper tantrums. That is why I think Elliot is Heidi's brother, because Heidi's mother could have given birth to both of them. What do you think?

Hi everyone happy valentines day!

Mother of 2

On page 150 when the phone lines works again and Heidi calls Bernadette when she  is in Liberty Heidi hears her mother calling Bernie for help then Heidi starts to get angry at her because she needs her. The quote to show this is ''She needs me, Heidi. I need you too.'' I choose this quote because it shows that Bernadette is like a mother of Heidi and Heidis mom even though Bernadette isin't ,but in this book Heidi and her mom both really need her and I think that they look at her as a mother. What do you think?

Wow! I can't believe that Heidi spased out at Bernie. Like  really  on page 89 on chapter 9 Heidi got really angry at Bernadette because she wouldn't let Heidi go to New york A quote to prove this is'' You may not go to Liberty and that is final, Heidi ,'' Bernie said one last time.'' Your not my mother,'' I shouted.'' You can't tell me what to do. You're not even family. You're nobody.Nobody''. There  you have it. If you have anything say about this please do.

Her Name

Even though you may know this from chapter 4 how it shows Heidi's moms name I just wanted to point out that in the chapter on page 36 it has a list of thing's Heidi knows about her mom but on that list it only shows that Heidi knows only her mom's name. How come she only knows that much about her mother? Do you think it's because of her moms mental disability and her mom doesn't really tell Heidi a lot of stuff about her self. Or do you think it's because of something else. What do you think?
