I think that I know who pays Heidi's bills. On page 173 when Heidi gets to hill top and meets Mr.Hill, then Mr.Hill says'' she's sent you here for money, hasn't she? Well she won't get another cent out of me.'' After I read this quote it got me thinking what if Mr.Hill is the one paying all the bills like he said they won't get another cent out of me, I got the feeling that Mr.Hill is paying all the bills . What do you think?
Emily,
ReplyDeleteThis is a really important scene and sets up the conclusion of the novel. It relates to who Heidi's parents are. Why do you think Mr. Hill is paying the bills?
Mr. B
I agree with you Emily that Mr. Hill was paying the bills because he seemed to get pretty angry when Heidi came to Hilltop and he thought she was asking for money. Then later in the book when he said there was no more money to give and that there was only Hilltop left, I realized that that is why he got so angry when he thought Heidi was asking for money because he didn't want to say there was no more money to give.-Sarah W
