Wow! I can't believe that Heidi spased out at Bernie. Like really on page 89 on chapter 9 Heidi got really angry at Bernadette because she wouldn't let Heidi go to New york A quote to prove this is'' You may not go to Liberty and that is final, Heidi ,'' Bernie said one last time.'' Your not my mother,'' I shouted.'' You can't tell me what to do. You're not even family. You're nobody.Nobody''. There you have it. If you have anything say about this please do.

I think that she spased out at Bernie because, I think she felt cooped up in that house for 11 year. She didn't know anything about her family and she wanted answers. She was just like a boiling pot waiting to over flow.-Sarah W
ReplyDeleteEmily this is a great response and Sarah I really like your metaphor. I think it must be frustrating for Heidi that Bernie is also holding her back not letting her learn what she needs. Why do you think Bernie is holding Heidi back from going to New York? How do you think this relates to Heidi's agoraphobia?

Yah, I think that it might relate back to Bernie's fear to go outside. She might kind of think that Heidi has that do except her boundaries are bigger where she can't go out. (the edge of the city) I think Bernie is just worried about her safety as well because Heidi doesn't spend as much time outside learning the way of things as other children.-Sarah W
